From the same creator as Dear Zoo, this is a cheerful book with flaps to lift and tabs to pull on every page. Follow the little mouse on her journey home across the farmyard, discovering all the animals she meets along the way.

The images are clear and simple, with the movement created by pulling the tabs helping attract visual interest. On the positive side, it is bigger than the standard Dear Zoo board book (measuring approximately 19 x 20 cm), but there is more visual complexity on each page as a result of the inclusion of grass, straw, duck ponds etc.

As with Dear Zoo, it would certainly benefit from thickening up the main image outlines with a black marker pen, which would be quick and simple to do.
